The Association of Official Seed Analyst (AOSA) is an organization of member laboratories dedicated to education and research, including state, federal, and university laboratories from the United States and Canada.
AOSA formally organized in Washington D.C. in 1908, developing rules and procedures for seed testing and the standardization of their interpretation (in conjunction with the Federal Seed Act)
The Society of Commercial Seed Technologists (SCST) is an organization of professional seed technologists dedicated to research, proficiency and improvement in seed testing from private, and company laboratories across the United States and Canada.
SCST originated in 1922, largely as a liaison between The Association of Official Seed Analysts (AOSA) and The American Seed Trade Association (ASTA).

The Washington is hiring a Seed Certification Field Supervisor.
The WSDA Seed Program conducts pre-harvest field inspections of agricultural, vegetable and flower seeds grown under the seed certification and phytosanitary programs. This position administers, oversees, and directs field activities and ensures employees are in compliance and is required to be in the field at least 50% of the time.
